Congratulations to our 2017 ambassadors!

The goDCgo Ambassador Awards recognize DC organizations for their efforts as transportation leaders. By offering transportation benefits and creative program incentives, the winning businesses help make the District the healthiest, greenest and most livable city in the United States. The program has five award categories. 

DC Commuter Benefits Law All-star Award

EW!DC-logo-(2).jpgEverybody Wins! DC, a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting children’s literacy and a love of learning, started their commuter benefits program in 2016 and has generously extended benefits access to part-time employees.


carpool/vanpool AWARD

IADB.jpgInter-American Development Bank, the leading source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean providing loans, grants and technical assistance, has more than 300 ‘pool commuters and created an employee app dedicated to transportation resources.


bike-friendly workplace award

NatGeo.jpgNational Geographic Society, one of the largest nonprofit scientific and education organizations dedicated to exploring Earth, protecting wildlife and helping students become geographically literate, encourages employees to use two wheel transportation by offering Capital Bikeshare Corporate Memberships, showers, lockers and a bicycle repair stand, and sponsors a pit stop on Bike to Work Day.

TCG_Logo_2016.jpgTCG, a Federal IT and management consulting industry leader with a culture focused on delivering smart solutions for programs of national importance, adopts a telecommute-first model and has nearly 75% of its employees teleworking at least one day a week.

How are winners selected?
Completed nominations are thoroughly evaluated against other DC employers by a selection committee of transportation industry thought leaders.
What do awarded organizations receive?
Awarded organizations receive:
  • A displayable commemorative Award
  • Recognition at the goDCgo Ambassador Awards ceremony, held March 29, 2017 
  • Networking opportunities with DC businesses and the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) leadership
  • Social media exposure to 5,000+ followers
  • Publicity via press releases 
  • Their company logo on promotional materials


When is the award ceremony?

The goDCgo Ambassador Awards ceremony will be held at the Westin Georgetown on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

Is my organization eligible for the 2018 awards?

To be eligible for a goDCgo Ambassador Award, all organizations must:

  1. Offer commuter transit benefits.
  2. Distribute information about commute options to employees.
In addition, there are specific criteria for each award.
How can I nominate my business or employer for the 2018 awards?

The goDCgo Ambassador Award winners are selected through a competitive self-nomination process. Please stay tuned for details on nominating your organization for the 2018 awards. 

Can goDCgo help my organization become eligible?
Yes! If you'd like to nominate your organization, but are not currently eligible, goDCgo will provide complimentary support to help you start or expand your commuter benefits programs.
