INAUGURAL celebration set for March!

The goDCgo Ambassador Awards recognize DC organizations for their efforts as transportation leaders. By offering transportation benefits and creative program incentives, businesses are helping to make the District the healthiest, greenest and most livable city in the United States. The program has five award categories.

DC Commuter Benefits Law All-star Award

On January 1, 2016, the DC Commuter Benefit Law went into effect. This awards honors an organization that embraced the Law by offering multiple transportation amenities above and beyond what's required. View award criteria.

carpool/vanpool AWARD

A unique employer helping reduce rush hour demands by offering ridesharing assistance and incentives to employees will receive this award. View award criteria.

bike-friendly workplace award

An organization that encourages employees, customers and visitors to bike for transportation—promoting a healthy workforce and an environmentally-friendly travel mode—will be selected for this honor. View award criteria.

telework/flex/alternative schedule award

A company that helps employees have a better work-life balance by alleviating commute time with a brilliant telework, flex schedule or alternative work schedule will be recognized. View award criteria.

From offering creative subsidies to workplace transportation competitions, a unique employer will define this award. View award criteria. 

FAQs

How are winners selected?
Completed nominations are thoroughly evaluated against other DC employers by a selection committee of transportation industry thought leaders.
If my organization is selected, how will I be notified?

In early March 2017, winning employers will be contacted by a goDCgo representative who will work with your organization to highlight your program's features. 

Awards will be granted to the company and its representative at the official goDCgo Ambassador Awards event, held Spring 2017.

What do awarded organizations receive?
Awarded organizations receive:
  • A displayable commemorative Award
  • Recognition at the goDCgo Ambassador Awards ceremony, held March 29, 2017 
  • Networking opportunities with DC businesses and the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) leadership
  • Social media exposure to 5,000+ followers
  • Publicity via press releases 
  • Their company logo on promotional materials

 

When is the award ceremony?

The goDCgo Ambassador Awards ceremony will be held at the Westin Georgetown on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

Is my organization eligible for the 2018 awards?

To be eligible for a goDCgo Ambassador Award, all organizations must:

  1. Offer commuter transit benefits.
  2. Distribute information about commute options to employees.
In addition, there are specific criteria for each award.
How can I nominate my business or employer for the 2018 awards?

The goDCgo Ambassador Award winners are selected through a competitive self-nomination process. Please stay tuned for details on nominating your organization for the 2018 awards. 

Can goDCgo help my organization become eligible?
Yes! If you'd like to nominate your organization, but are not currently eligible, goDCgo will provide complimentary support to help you start or expand your commuter benefits programs.
